Quaddie bonus the key for punters at Rosehill
28 Jun 2012 | Australian Turf Club A guaranteed $500,000 Quaddie pool will be a sweetener for NSW punters looking to attend Bidvest Race Day at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday, 30 June.
The weekend’s Quaddie will be held on the last four races on the program and will feature the main race on the card, the $100,000, listed Riviana Food Service Civic Stakes over 1,400m.
The Civic Stakes has attracted a quality field which includes 2012 June Stakes winner Alberton Park and Lonhro sired gelding Tromso, who is returning to Rosehill Gardens this weekend after a recent stint at Eagle Farm. However all eyes will be on David Payne-trained Madibagold to see whether the six-year-old will be able to go one better in this race after finishing a close second to Little Surfer Girl last year.
Caulfield based trainer Mick Price will make the trip north with up-and-coming three-year-old Fastnet Prince to contest the McCain Advantage BOBS Significant Stakes over 1,900m. The gelding is likely to be the short priced favourite on course this weekend after his substantial three-length last start win at Geelong. Carrying 59kg, the promising son of Fastnet Rock will be looking for a hat-trick when he faces the starter this weekend.
The best way to make the most of your day at Rosehill Gardens is through the purchase of a Super Saver Pass. The $30 pass offers $70 value and includes racecourse entry, two drinks, food voucher, a $5 TAB betting voucher, pen and a ticket to Run to the Rose Day at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday, 1 September.
