Peter Boyle joins Emirates Park
02 Jul 2012 | Emirates Park Emirates Park will commence the important lead-up to the 2012 breeding season with a new stud manager following the appointment of Peter Boyle.

A well-established studmaster and popular figure among the thoroughbred breeding fraternity in the Hunter Valley, Peter Boyle begins the newly created position on July 3. He brings with him a wealth of experience following long-term associations with a handful of respected nurseries located in the heartland of Australia’s thoroughbred breeding industry.

During the past two decades, Peter Boyle has been an integral member of the management team at Baerami Thoroughbreds, Byerley Thoroughbreds and Segenhoe Stud. In addition, he has successfully managed his own commercial concern, having been one of the principals of Sefton Park Stud in more recent years. His new position will see him take a hands-on role of Emirates Park’s Murrurundi headquarters.

Emirates Park’s CEO Trevor Lobb confirmed the appointment of Peter Boyle, saying: “It’s another positive step for Emirates Park. The past 12 months have seen us assemble a highly professional and motivated team, and Peter is the latest to come on board.”

Lobb added: “The new season will be upon us before we know it, with the very first foals of 2012 likely to drop before the end of the month and Dream Ahead arriving for his first visit to Australia soon after. I am delighted to have secured the services of such an experienced stud manager and for him to have the necessary time to settle in to his new role before season 2012 begins in earnest.”
