Sunday's race meeting at Geelong switched to synthetic track

Due to the continuing heavy rainfall, Racing Victoria (RV) wishes to advise that Sunday's meeting at Geelong Racing Club has been switched to the Proride track.

With persistent rain rendering some sections of the turf track unfit for racing, the decision was taken in conjunction with Geelong Racing Club to move the eight-race meeting to the Proride All-Weather surface.

As a result of this transfer, there are distance changes to all races as specified below:

3YO Maiden Plate 1200m (was 1235m) $25,000
4YO&Up Maiden Plate 1200m (was 1235m) $25,000
Maiden Plate 1300m (was 1535m) $25,000
Class 1 Handicap 1300m (was 1435m) $25,000
BM58 Handicap 1100m (was 1135m) $18,000
BM64 Handicap 2200m (was 2255m) $25,000
BM64 Handicap 1900m (was 1750m) $25,000
BM64 Handicap 1300m (was 1335m) $25,000
