Family illness sees Bosson return home
08 Aug 2012 | Singapore Turf Club A family illness back home in New Zealand has prompted Opie Bosson to relinquish his licence with the Singapore Turf Club.

Bosson, who began the 2012 year riding as a sponsored jockey for trainers Bruce Marsh and Mark Walker, was granted a freelance Club Jockey Licence in June and also had his initial six month licence extended until 31 December 2012.

The 31 year-old rode 18 winners during his stay in Singapore and picked up three feature race wins including the Group 2 Stewards’ Cup on Gingerbread Man as well as the Group 3 New Year Cup and the Polytrack Mile Championship aboard Flying Fulton.
