The Prince of Wales's Stakes looks set to live up to its billing as the race of Royal Ascot 2019 after a stellar field of eight was confirmed for Wednesday's highlight.
In a battle of the sexes, four-year-old fillies Magical and Sea Of Class will clash with entires Crystal Ocean and Waldgeist in what promises to be a race to savour.
Zabeel Prince, Deirdre, Hunting Horn and Desert Encounter complete the line-up for the Group 1 contest, with Masar, Salouen and Magic Wand not declared.
Sea Of Class makes her first start since finishing second to Enable in last year's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe and regular rider James Doyle is free to ride after Godolphin switched Masar to the Hardwicke Stakes.
Magical also had to settle for second behind Enable last autumn when runner-up in the Breeders' Cup Turf and has won all three of her starts this season.
Last year's Hardwicke winner Crystal Ocean – the mount of Frankie Dettori – seeks a first Group 1 success, having finished second at the highest level on three occasions.
Waldgeist, on the other hand, has gained three Group 1 victories including on his most recent start in the Prix Ganay in April.
