The Racing and Sports Priceline for Day Two of Royal Ascot.
Mixed results on day one with the 'bits and pieces' okay but the biggest implied edge in Elarqam having to settle for third. Thankfully, The Model lives for the grind and it will keep punching consistently and methodically for the five days - it's a tilt-free zone.
Three races qualify for what we are covering for the week on Day Two and the assessed prices are as follows:
Queen's Vase: Norway $3.50; Western Australia $5.50; Nayef Road $8.00; Jalmoud $8.00.
Prince Of Wales's Stakes: Magical $3.00; Crystal Ocean $5.50; Sea Of Class $5.50; Waldgeist $12.00; Zabeel Prince $12.00.
Duke Of Cambridge Stakes: Rawdaa $3.00; Pretty Baby $8.00; I Can Fly $8.00; Veracious $10.00; Nyaleti $12.00
Aidan O'Brien doesn't do weaknesses but if he has a strength it's in his staying three-year-olds so having two of his at the top of things in the Queen's Vase has a nice feel about it. Norway is worth backing at early prices trading just above $4.00 while Nayef Road has been sacked by the betting but the model is sticking about with him and thinks he should be kept on side at big prices.
We've mentioned in the past that this model learned his craft in Australia and so values recent racing which is why Crystal Ocean is the bet in the Prince Of Wales against similarly high-rating opposition in the form of Magical and Sea Of Class.
Another Mark Johnston recent bomb-out in Nayaleti has been shown the door by the early betting but again the model is clinging on to her good runs and she's considered over the odds along with Rawdaa in the Duke Of Cambridge.
