The autumn of 2017 saw Foxplay win the Group 2 Phar Lap Stakes for both sex 3 year olds. Two starts later Foxplay won the Group 1 Queen of the Turf Stakes at Randwick (raced as the Coolmore Legacy Stakes) against a large field of high quality mares.
On returning to racing in the spring of 2017, Foxplay was a narrow second in the Group 2 Warwick Stakes at Randwick.
