Jockey Johnny Murtagh will miss York's Ebor meeting next week after his hopes for a quick return to action on Sunday were dashed on Wednesday.
The rider sustained facial injuries following a fall at the Curragh on Sunday and Murtagh said: "I went to see Professor Leo Stassen in St James's Hospital [in Dublin] this morning and he confirmed that I have a fracture to the bone under my eye and also a couple of cracks.
"He recommended that I don't ride for three weeks from last Sunday, so that's the story and, unfortunately, I'll be missing York."
Murtagh took a fall from Lottie Dod and was kicked in the face after leaving the parade ring at the Curragh before the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes.
He was replaced by Pat Smullen, who rode the filly to finish third in the Group 1 event.
