GLORIOUS DAYS (AUS, G5, brown)
- jogged 10 min. in exercise arena, jogged 1/4 lap, cantered 1/2 lap,
breezed on straight [3F: 42.1, 1F: 13.9], cantered 3/4 lap on dirt course,
and schooled through saddling area and paddock
(exercised from 7:37 AM to 8:00 AM, ridden by Kin Yiu Yan)
"Our usual training program for him from his last start includes fast-work every three to four days. That's why we galloped him twice at Shiroi, and for three furlongs this morning. I was thinking of doing his gallop on Friday, but the forecast says it's going to rain and we didn't want him to gallop on a soft track, so we did it today instead. He'll just do some light work until the day of the race.
The Tokyo course is a very fair course and all of the horses I've raced here have handled the uphill in the long stretch, so I'm sure Glorious Days will be able to do just as well. He's a horse that prefers a firm track, so I hope it doesn't rain on the day of the race."

LUCKY NINE (IRE, G5, bay)
- jogged 1/2 lap, cantered 1-3/4 laps, jogged 1/4 lap on dirt course,
and schooled through saddling area and paddock
(exercised from 7:36 AM to 7:50 AM, ridden by Dale Bussey)
"His movements were smooth and powerful, and he responded very well this morning—he pulled up from yesterday's gallop excellently. He'll be perfect after we give him another one tomorrow. In the Sprinters Stakes last year, he showed great effort to finish strongly for fifth despite being caught in traffic at a critical point. As long as we get a good draw and he's able to run a fair race, he has every chance to win. If he can break from a stall somewhere between three and eight, sit off the pace in fifth or sixth and is in a good position for his last run, he'll be hard to catch because his acceleration is very good."
