Bowman takes the rail run

Apprentice Jack Martin on Moss ‘N’ Dale looks to his inside as Hugh Bowman lifts the Chris Waller trained Liapari (NZ) past him to claim the $100,000, TAB Rewards Bm 85 Handicap (1500m) at Rosehill on Saturday after Bowman had to change course to find racing room against the rails. The winning margin was a short half-head.

The win was Bowman’s 63rd of the Sydney season and after winning later in the programme on John Thompson's Invincible Knight he is in second place with 64 winners behind Brenton Avdulla on 74.5 winners. Bowman’s Sydney runners this season have earned stakes of $10,071,085.
