A pair of four-year-old's in their second runs from a spell appear set to build on what they produced first up at Rosehill on Saturday.

A field of nine after scratchings has been assembled for the first leg of the Rosehill quadrella on Saturday, the Beanie For Brain Cancer Benchmark 90 Handicap (1400m).

The race includes last start Chris Waller winners New Universe and Invinzabeel along with the in form Team Hawkes-trained Firsthand.

Down on the limit weight in the field is the James Cummings-trained Flow who looks set to go one better following a strong first up display.

Flow Horseform commenced his latest campaign at this course and distance three weeks ago where he recorded a slender second to the in form Redouble Horseform.

The son of Street Cry was prominent throughout and just outgunned late by a rival who had a fitness edge over him.

Although beaten as a well supported favourite, market expectations aside the display was full of merit.

The gelding finds a race on Saturday where he should be going one better.

His second up record is excellent and prior to resuming, Flow’s best performances had come on rain affected ground.

One of these efforts was a Group placing in the Sunshine Coast Guineas late last season.

Another positive in Flow’s favour lies in the speed map for the race.

The race possesses zero early speed meaning from barrier 1 Flow should work to the front under Corey Brown’s guidance and control the race.

With the likelihood of an extremely soft lead, Flow should be too strong for his rivals late.

In the next event, Test The World appeals at an each way quote contesting the Mark Hughes Foundation Benchmark 89 Handicap (1100m).

The mare was finding the line nicely on resuming at this course and distance a fortnight ago.

It was a strong return by a mare who worked through her grades quickly late last season and two of those successes came at this course.

The daughter of Testa Rossa is adept on all ground and should enjoy all of the favours in transit on Saturday from barrier 1.
